Terry Roberts – Representative – South Waikato, Central Plateau & South Island

T Roberts - J Swap Photo #6Terry came to J Swap in April 2014 after spending 9 years with Ravensdown servicing the Central Plateau.  Prior to that he was dairy farming for 15 years.

Terry enjoys working with farmers to achieve a supplement feeding level that they require. To do this Terry is comfortable using the Feed Calculator which will show the nutrient values of the feed and any other tools to meet this solution. Terry believes it is about building a relationship with the client so you can add the right value when needed.

When not working for J Swap, you will find Terry either playing squash, spending time with his family or working on his 6ha Cattle Station.

Tony Bartlett – Sales Representative – Bay of Plenty

Tony Bartlett is our Sales Rep for the Bay of Plenty region for Swap Stockfoods.

Tony enjoys meeting farmers, new and existing clients and assisting them in their feed requirements, i.e. quoting and feed budgeting as each farm has different needs. I like making friendships that are long lasting so that trust can work both ways.

Being independent and being able to organize you’re your own day with canvassing and appointments. I enjoy the contact with farmers and like to maintain ongoing service that I and the company have made.

Swap Stockfoods being the importers, storage and transport distributors makes life so much easier for farmers. They are buying from a trustworthy reputable family owned company which has been operating for many years. One phonecall to 08004JSwap job done.

Tony owned beef/sheep/deer and cropping farm in Hunterville before moving to Bay of Plenty where along with my wife developed an orchard. We now live in Ohope. Tony’s interests include hunting, fishing, golf, gardening and I love the outdoors and camping holidays but most of all spending quality time with my family at the beach.

Jo McLachlan – Representative – Waikato

Jo PhotoJo McLachlan is our Sales Rep for the Waikato Region for Swap Stockfoods.

Having grown up on a dairy farm Jo understands the importance of good nutrition and feeding cows.

Primarily in sales Jo was the second salesperson employed by Swap Stockfoods eight years ago to help grow our stock foods business.  In this time she has seen the portfolio of products Swap  Stockfoods offer grow from just Palm Kernel Extract (PKE) to a range of 26 other products. With the addition of auger trucks for silo deliveries Swap Stockfoods have been able to introduce mineral mixes to their product range.

In these eight years Jo has built up a large clientele.  She really believes in building sound relationships with her clients.  “If you get on well with the customer then business only seems easier” states Jo.  “You have to get out on farm to make sure everything is OK.  It’s my role to offer this service”.

Jo’s commitment to working hard to keep customers and her enjoyment at watching the farming families she deals with over the years grow up before her eyes, demonstrates to us that she really does ‘walk the talk’.

Jo loves the variety and really enjoys working for Swap Stockfoods.  “They are a very family orientated business and it filters down”.

Outside of Swaps Jo has a passion for the equine industry, fine wine and travel.

        David Young – Representative – Matamata/Piako

David-Young-webDavid is the J.Swap Contractors Ltd representative for the Matamata/Piako area, and has been with J.Swap since  2007. He enjoys the variety of work, problem solving, along with meeting and building relationships with people and new clients.

Prior to working for J.Swap Contractors Ltd, David was dairy farming for 25 years. This and the fact he also jumps behind the wheel of a truck, or works as a shift supervisor unloading Stockfood boats when required, makes David a well informed and trustworthy member of the J.Swap team to deal with.

David regards J.Swap as the company to supply your stockfood because of the ‘one-stop-shop’ nature of the company: 1 phone call, 1 company, 1 common goal. If it’s not right, there is only one point of responsibility, and no excuses.
